Incidents of alleged attacks on husbands in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur district persist, with a recent case in Parsadepur village under the Aung police station limits. Sanjeev Tiwari, a confectioner, was reportedly assaulted by his wife, Ranno Devi, who struck him on the head with a stick, tied him to a cot, and attempted to electrocute him. Family members intervened, rushed Sanjeev to the hospital in critical condition, and he was later transferred to Kanpur for advanced treatment.
This incident follows a similar shocking case on June 26 in Aswar Tarapur village, where a woman set her husband on fire, resulting in his death. In the recent case, police are investigating the allegations against Ranno Devi in Parasdevpur village. Sanjeev Tiwari was rescued by family members and taken to the hospital for treatment, where he provided a statement to the authorities. His brother lodged a formal complaint, leading to the arrest of the accused.
Authorities are examining all aspects of the case and will take further action after verifying the allegations and completing the enquiry. The series of attacks on husbands in the region has raised concerns, with the police responding promptly to such incidents to ensure justice and safety for the victims.
