Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to embark on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand starting Wednesday. The visit will include participation in significant religious, cultural, and social programs in Haridwar and Rishikesh, emphasizing healthcare, spirituality, Indian culture, and social service.
Amit Shah’s itinerary includes a major event in Rishikesh, where he will attend the release ceremony of the centenary edition of the monthly magazine ‘Kalyan’ at Gita Bhavan in Swargashram. The magazine, published by the renowned Gita Press, has been instrumental in promoting Indian culture, religious values, and moral principles for decades.
On Thursday, Shah will visit Haridwar, commencing with the inauguration of the Patanjali Emergency and Critical Care Hospital at Maharshi Dayanand Gram in Patanjali Yogpeeth at 10:00 A.M. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare services in the region, particularly for critically ill patients. Subsequently, he will proceed to Gayatri Teerth Shantikunj to offer prayers at the Akhanda Jyoti and engage with members of the Gayatri Parivar, showcasing the group’s spiritual and social influence in the country.
In addition, Amit Shah will participate in a public event at Bairagi Island, Haridwar, marking the birth centenary of Param Vandaniya Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma and the Akhanda Deep Centenary Year. The celebration is expected to draw devotees and dignitaries from India and abroad, with Shah acknowledging the Gayatri Parivar’s significant contributions to social reform and spiritual enlightenment.
