Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed deep concern over President Droupadi Murmu’s remarks about the International Santal Conference in Darjeeling, West Bengal. Kalyan emphasized the importance of ensuring dignity, participation, and respect for cultural events like this. He highlighted the need for inclusivity, sensitivity, and proper planning in such gatherings to honor diverse communities.
Kalyan also stressed the significance of treating the office of the President of India with the utmost respect and dignity. He underscored that the President’s visits should be conducted with the highest regard and that tribal communities are an integral part of India’s identity and pride, deserving sincere recognition and respect.
In a similar vein, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed sadness over the President’s distress. Naidu emphasized that the office of the President symbolizes the dignity of the Republic and should always be accorded the highest respect and courtesy. He reiterated the importance of upholding the sanctity of constitutional institutions in a democratic setup.
Furthermore, Andhra Pradesh BJP unit president PVN Madhav criticized the West Bengal government led by Mamata Banerjee for its treatment of President Droupadi Murmu. Madhav condemned the disregard shown towards the Honorable President, emphasizing that any insult to the President is essentially an insult to the Constitution and the people of India. He described the situation as disgraceful and unacceptable.
