Actor Arshad Warsi will showcase a double role for the first time in his career in the upcoming dark comedy crime thriller “Jeevan Bheema Yojana.” The teaser for the film was recently released, adding to the anticipation. Directed by Abhishek Dogra, the movie stars Sanjeeda Shaikh, Vijay Raaz, Pooja Chopra, and Bijendra Kala in pivotal roles, among others.
“Jeevan Bheema Yojana” delves into themes of greed, desperation, and love. The story follows Jeevan and his wife Yojana, a couple grappling with financial challenges. Their lives take a dramatic turn when they encounter Bheema, a stranger who bears a striking resemblance to Jeevan. What begins as a well-thought-out plan to fake Jeevan’s death for insurance purposes takes a dangerous turn as hidden connections to a diamond-smuggling network surface.
Director Abhishek Dogra described the film as a portrayal of ordinary individuals facing the consequences of a life-altering decision. Despite being a dark comedy, the movie’s core essence remains deeply human, exploring themes of greed, desperation, and the repercussions of deceit. Arshad’s portrayal of both characters impressed the team during filming.
Produced by Anshu Mishra under Star Beam Ventures Ltd, “Jeevan Bheema Yojana” has completed its production phase. The film is set to hit the screens during the monsoon season, although an exact release date is yet to be revealed.
