Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) met with DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in New Delhi to discuss enhancing key sectors like sports infrastructure and agro-horticulture. They aim to empower the state’s youth for accelerated development.

The leaders highlighted the need to leverage Arunachal Pradesh’s agricultural strengths for inclusive and sustainable growth, creating new opportunities for local communities. Lt Gen Parnaik sought support for a dedicated football stadium and proposed Integrated Sports Complexes and State Sports Academies in different regions to boost sporting talent.

Emphasizing the state’s youth potential in sports, the Governor stressed the necessity of modern sports infrastructure for promoting excellence. He also underlined the importance of developing sports facilities in higher education institutions to encourage broader participation and competitive exposure for young athletes.
