Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) highlighted the importance of providing quality education, relevant skill development, and supportive institutions for children and young people in the state. Emphasizing the need for well-trained teachers, residential schooling facilities, and digital-enabled classrooms, he discussed overcoming geographical challenges in education.
In a meeting with State Education Minister P.D. Sona and Commissioner (Education) Amjad Tak, the Governor reviewed the progress and challenges of the state’s education sector. He focused on strengthening the education system to meet the aspirations of Arunachal’s youth and the evolving needs of the state.
Lt Gen Parnaik (Retd.) reiterated his vision for Arunachal Pradesh’s youth, emphasizing the importance of access to quality learning, skill development, and institutions that build confidence. He also discussed the Mission Shikshit Arunachal 2029 aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, stressing the need for robust monitoring mechanisms for systemic reforms in school education.
The Governor shared his views on expanding higher education institutions, enhancing scholarship support, and introducing more skill-based professional courses within Arunachal Pradesh. He highlighted the potential of these reforms to drive inclusive growth, cultural confidence, and a ‘Viksit Arunachal Pradesh.’
Witnessing the ninth edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ from Lok Bhavan, the Governor expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reinforcing the message that examinations should not be a source of fear or stress. He encouraged students to focus on conceptual understanding, effective time management, and maintaining physical and mental well-being.
