Assam Minister and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) President, Atul Bora, praised the NDA alliance’s recent Assembly election win, attributing it to public trust in the BJP-led coalition’s development efforts. Bora highlighted the unprecedented scale of the victory in post-Independence Assam politics.

He emphasized that the election results showcased public endorsement of the BJP-led government’s work, particularly under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s leadership. Bora expressed confidence in the developmental strides made during the NDA government’s tenure.

Ahead of the first Assembly session, Bora mentioned the NDA alliance’s nomination of Ranjit Kumar Dass for the Speaker’s post in the Assam Legislative Assembly. He noted the presence of senior leaders and newly elected MLAs during the nomination process, signaling unity among coalition partners.

All 126 newly elected MLAs are expected to take oath during the upcoming Assembly session. The NDA alliance, with BJP at the helm, secured a strong majority in the recent elections, reaffirming AGP’s significance as a coalition partner.
