Leading Baloch human rights defender, Mir Yar Baloch, penned a letter to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighting Pakistan’s occupation and human rights violations in Balochistan over nearly eight decades. In the message, he praised India’s actions against Pakistan-backed terrorism in 2025, following the Pahalgam terror attack, as a display of courage and commitment to regional security.
Expressing New Year greetings on behalf of Balochistan’s citizens to India, Mir emphasized the historical ties between the two nations in various aspects like culture, commerce, and defense. He specifically mentioned the significance of sites like the Hinglaj Mata Temple in showcasing the shared heritage between Bharat and Balochistan.
Mir reiterated his support for India, emphasizing the need for collaboration on peace, prosperity, trade, and defense to counter the growing strategic partnership between Pakistan and China. He warned of the dangers posed by China’s involvement in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the potential threat of Chinese military presence in Balochistan.
