Third seed Hanne Vandewinkel from Belgium, ranked World No. 124, triumphed over wildcard Vaishnavi Adkar with a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the final of the ITF Women’s Open W100 Bengaluru 2026. Adkar, a 21-year-old from Pune and ranked World No. 690, made history as the first Indian woman since Sania Mirza to reach an ITF W100 final. Vandewinkel’s experience and consistency were evident throughout the match.
For her title win, Vandewinkel earned 100 WTA ranking points and USD 15,239 in prize money, while Adkar received 65 ranking points and USD 8,147, a significant boost for her rankings. The Belgian player dominated early on, breaking Adkar’s serve and swiftly taking a 3-0 lead in the first set, showcasing control and precision in her game.
In the second set, Vandewinkel continued her strong performance, securing an early break and maintaining her lead. Adkar displayed moments of resilience, fighting to hold her serve and creating break opportunities. However, Vandewinkel’s strategic play and composure under pressure allowed her to secure a 6-1 victory in the final set, claiming the championship in just over an hour.
