The Bihar Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, sanctioned 22 significant proposals covering infrastructure, healthcare, education, renewable energy, agriculture, employment, and urban development. Among the approvals are the creation of 76 teaching positions in state engineering colleges to enhance technical education. Additionally, the Cabinet greenlit the installation of 500 MW of rooftop solar power plants to promote renewable energy.
Approval was also granted for the construction of a Bailey bridge and comprehensive repair of the Vikramshila Setu to improve connectivity in Bhagalpur. Furthermore, the Cabinet endorsed the preparation of reports for Bihar’s Regional Rapid Transit System to enhance regional connectivity and economic growth. Administrative approval was given for land acquisition to expand AIIMS Patna and establish the Bihar Aquaculture Infrastructure and Development Corporation Limited.
The Cabinet also allocated funds for various schemes, including the Chief Minister’s Self-Help Allowance Scheme and the Pulses Self-Reliance Mission. Moreover, the selection of CEPT, Ahmedabad, for planning Bihar’s greenfield satellite townships was approved. The Cabinet also sanctioned the purchase of land for township planning and infrastructure development in Pataliputra, Hariharnath, Magadh, and Tirhut.
