Several candidates from Bihar have excelled in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination. Akanksha Singh from Arwal district secured the 454th rank, Monica Srivastava from Aurangabad achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 16, and Raghav Jhunjhunwala from Muzaffarpur secured the fourth rank nationwide. Akanksha Singh, hailing from Haibatpur village in Arwal district, has made her district proud by securing the 454th rank in the UPSC exam.
She is the daughter of Shashi Singh and Malti Singh and the granddaughter of the late Ranveer Sena chief, Brahmeshwar Singh Mukhiya. Akanksha completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, Patna, and pursued an LLB from the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi. Her dedication to civil services preparation paid off in her second attempt, sparking celebrations in her village and district.
Monica Srivastava from Satendra Nagar in Aurangabad, who secured the 16th rank in the UPSC merit list, has had a remarkable academic journey. She graduated in Computer Science Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati in 2016 and worked in global companies before transitioning to a career in civil services. Monica’s commitment to public service was evident when she topped among women and secured the sixth rank overall in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination in 2022.
Raghav Jhunjhunwala from Muzaffarpur achieved the fourth rank in the UPSC merit list in his third attempt. Crediting his success to his parents and teachers, Raghav, an Economics Honours graduate from the University of Delhi, employed different strategies for each stage of the UPSC exam. Expressing relief and happiness, he mentioned his gratitude for not having to undergo the rigorous preparation process again after two previous attempts.
These candidates’ achievements have not only brought pride to their families but also to Bihar as a whole, serving as an inspiration for many young aspirants preparing for competitive exams in the region.
