Bihar Transport Minister Shrawon Kumar expressed that the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) does not require leaders like RCP Singh, a former Union Minister. Kumar highlighted that RCP Singh had previously raised concerns about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s health and governance abilities. He accused Singh of attempting to undermine Nitish Kumar by claiming that the party would exit politics if they secured just 25 seats.

Shrawon Kumar questioned RCP Singh’s political journey, noting his failed party and subsequent involvement with the Jan Suraaj Party, which also allegedly aimed to weaken Nitish Kumar. JD-U MP and Union Minister Lalan Singh had also opposed RCP Singh’s potential return, emphasizing that such individuals had diminished the party’s strength.

RCP Singh, a former JD-U national president, has hinted at rejoining the party, citing his enduring connection with Nitish Kumar. Despite speculation surrounding his return, senior JD-U figures have firmly rejected the idea, citing past actions that they believe weakened the party.
