The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) criticized Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for alleging a conspiracy to destabilize his party by offering MLAs large sums of money and statehood promises. BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi demanded evidence to support Abdullah’s claims or an apology for his remarks. Trivedi emphasized that the Chief Minister’s accusations were baseless and aimed at diverting attention from governance issues.
Trivedi highlighted that the BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit strongly refuted the allegations and urged Abdullah to focus on governance rather than making unsubstantiated claims. He emphasized that the National Conference should concentrate on its responsibilities instead of seeking revenge for its failures. Abdullah, on the other hand, vowed to prevent any attempts to lure NC MLAs with offers of money and ministerial positions.
Addressing National Conference workers, Abdullah expressed determination to resist BJP’s alleged attempts to destabilize his party by enticing MLAs with monetary offers and promises. He emphasized the need to protect the party’s integrity and prevent any backdoor entries by rival factions.
