Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal from Faridpur constituency in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, died at 65 due to a sudden heart attack. Earlier that day, he participated in a meeting led by Uttar Pradesh’s Animal Husbandry Minister Dharampal Singh at the Circuit House in Bareilly. The gathering, attended by officials and public representatives, aimed to discuss development projects for the year.
Dr. Lal started feeling unwell after lunch following the meeting and his condition rapidly deteriorated. Attendees rushed him to Medicity Hospital on Pilibhit Road, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Forest Minister Arun Saxena, present at the meeting, mentioned that Dr. Lal’s health worsened suddenly during the gathering, leading to his unfortunate demise.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of the senior BJP leader. He offered condolences to Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal’s family and praised his contributions. Dr. Lal, a prominent figure in academic and political spheres, had a background as a professor at Rohilkhand University and had served as the MLA for Faridpur Assembly constituency in two consecutive terms.
The news of Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal’s death saddened the Faridpur constituency, with party members, supporters, and locals mourning the loss of the esteemed leader.
