BJP’s Lok Sabha member Nishikant Dubey criticized the Congress for engaging in partisan politics during the gas crisis debate. He accused the party of undermining India’s interests instead of fostering unity. Dubey emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on leading India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Referring to remarks made by Rahul Gandhi, the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, Dubey highlighted concerns raised by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He expressed apprehension that Gandhi’s stance, advocating criticism of global leaders like Trump, Putin, and Xi, could jeopardize India’s diplomatic ties.
Dubey warned that if influential nations like the US, Russia, and China collectively isolated India, it would weaken the country internationally. He cautioned that such isolation would only serve the interests of those aiming to divide India. The BJP MP noted economic and energy challenges faced by various countries, including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and China.
According to Dubey, the government’s initiatives have significantly improved LPG access for millions of poor households, contrasting with past struggles for cooking gas. He mentioned that under government schemes, around 13 crore impoverished households have received LPG connections, enhancing access to clean cooking fuel.
Dubey stressed the importance of national unity during crises, urging against political confrontations. He emphasized the need for solidarity to address challenges collectively, rather than engaging in divisive politics.
