BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi expressed concern over the Trinamool Congress repeatedly resorting to courts, questioning their trust in constitutional bodies and labeling it as political frustration. He highlighted issues in Punjab’s law and order following FIRs against Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak.
Trivedi’s remarks came after the Supreme Court refused to intervene in the Election Commission’s decision on counting supervisors, challenged by the Trinamool Congress. He criticized Trinamool’s repeated court appeals as signs of panic and frustration.
The BJP leader emphasized that approaching courts multiple times not only indicates political frustration but also casts doubt on faith in constitutional bodies. He accused Trinamool of lacking trust in state government employees, citing an incident involving Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Trivedi alleged a decline in public support for Trinamool Congress post-elections, noting unease within the party. Additionally, he accused Punjab Police of focusing on raiding Sandeep Pathak instead of addressing the state’s deteriorating law and order.
