BJP State President and MLA, B.Y. Vijayendra, criticized the Karnataka government, raising concerns about who will succeed Siddaramaiah as the next Chief Minister. Vijayendra highlighted the state’s economic crisis during the Congress rule, accusing the government of failing to provide effective governance. He emphasized the government’s alleged focus on minority appeasement over addressing the needs of farmers, the poor, and the youth.
Referring to the state’s governance as collapsed, Vijayendra criticized the government for neglecting key issues and engaging in internal power struggles. He expressed dissatisfaction among the youth with the current administration and warned of Karnataka heading towards becoming a hub for drugs.
Vijayendra pointed out the emerging camps within the Congress party vying for the Chief Minister’s post after Siddaramaiah’s speculated resignation. He mentioned the potential contenders like G. Parameshwara, D.K. Shivakumar, and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, claiming that the state’s financial situation has severely deteriorated.
Accusing the government of creating anarchy and corruption, Vijayendra alleged a conspiracy to cause a shortage of fertilizers. He criticized ministers and MLAs for not addressing farmers’ concerns and instead focusing on power struggles in Delhi. Responding to BJP’s role, Vijayendra stated that the party would not interfere in the Congress government’s internal affairs.
