The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed satisfaction with the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR). BJP’s National Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi highlighted the rejection of Congress party’s plea by the court, labeling it as a significant setback for the opposition. Trivedi emphasized the necessity of the SIR for ensuring fair elections and criticized Congress for creating unnecessary controversies.
The BJP representative accused Congress of lacking seriousness in facing electoral challenges and attempting to mislead the public. Trivedi pointed out the contrast between Congress’ approach and BJP’s vigorous campaigning during recent elections. He urged Congress and its leaders, especially Rahul Gandhi, to introspect and refrain from undermining constitutional institutions. Trivedi also criticized Congress for its alleged disconnection with ground-level campaigning and reliance on fear-mongering tactics.
Drawing attention to the BJP’s active participation in election campaigns, Trivedi questioned Congress’ commitment by comparing the number of rallies held by Rahul Gandhi to the extensive campaigning efforts of BJP leaders. He criticized Congress for allegedly insulting public sentiments and resorting to divisive tactics. Trivedi’s remarks underscored the BJP’s stance on the electoral process and highlighted the differences in approach between the two political parties.
