Double Olympic medalist and two-time World Champion, Blanka Vlasic, has been appointed as the International Event Ambassador for the upcoming World 10K Bengaluru 2026, a prestigious World Athletics Gold Label Race set for April 26. Vlasic, a renowned high jumper, has had a remarkable career in the sport, clinching Olympic silver in Beijing 2008 and bronze in Rio 2016, along with multiple World Championship and World Indoor titles. Her impressive personal best of 2.08m, achieved in 2009, still stands as the Croatian record and ranks as the third-highest women’s high jump in history.
Speaking about her involvement with the event, Blanka Vlasic expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Being part of an event that unites thousands of individuals through running is truly motivating and invigorating. Running not only keeps us physically fit but also mentally resilient, playing a crucial role in shaping the athletics community.
