The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the Telugu romantic drama ‘Couple Friendly’ directed by Ashwin Chandrasekar for release with an ‘A’ certificate. The film stars Santosh Soban and Manasa Varanasi in the lead roles and has a runtime of two hours and one minute. UV Creations, the film’s production house, made the announcement on social media, revealing a Valentine’s Day release on February 14th in Telugu and Tamil.
A trailer released by the makers has piqued the interest of film enthusiasts. It showcases a man urging the protagonist to return promptly with his partner to avert a potential crisis, followed by glimpses of the couple’s initial encounter. The narrative unfolds in Tamil Nadu, where Shiva (Santosh Soban) converses with Mithra (Manasa) in Tamil before discovering her Telugu background through a phone call.
The storyline delves into Shiva’s financial struggles, leading to familial disapproval, while Mithra faces pressure from her family to return to Chittoor for a potential marriage proposal. As circumstances evolve, Mithra decides to move in with Shiva, and their relationship blossoms into love, culminating in a live-in arrangement. The film’s essence revolves around their journey towards marriage, exploring the challenges they encounter along the way.
