Celebrity chef Kunal Kapur, from the recent season finale of ‘MasterChef India’, highlighted how Indian cuisine has been scientifically influenced by Ved and Hakeems over centuries. He emphasized the unique use of spices in Indian food, attributing it to a scientific approach. Kapur explained that the evolution of Indian cuisine has been tailored to different body types and availability of ingredients.

In comparison, he noted the distinctiveness of Western and Asian cuisines, pointing out the use of minimal spices in Western dishes and the strong flavors in Asian cooking. Kapur highlighted the influence of factors like climate, soil, and air on the flavors of different cuisines. He emphasized the individual’s choice to explore diverse culinary experiences based on regional ingredients and traditions.
