The Central Crime Branch (CCB) Organised Crime Squad has apprehended a fugitive accused involved in a plot to seek revenge for the killing of a notorious criminal. The police recovered a country-made pistol, eight live rounds, and other items from the suspect.
Following the murder of a rowdy sheeter last year, an investigation revealed a conspiracy to eliminate the alleged mastermind behind the crime. The deceased’s brother and associates were believed to be planning a retaliatory murder.
Acting on credible intelligence, the CCB launched a special operation to intercept the accused who were reportedly armed and ready to carry out their plan. Subsequently, seven suspects, including two rowdy sheeters, were arrested, and a significant number of weapons were seized.
In a continuing effort, the CCB successfully tracked down and arrested another absconding individual connected to the case. The police found additional weapons in his possession, including a pistol, live rounds, and other items. The operation was praised by senior police officials for its effectiveness in apprehending the suspects and confiscating the weapons.
