Singer-songwriter Charlie Puth decided to give up alcohol after experiencing a terrible hangover following a night of partying in New York. This incident occurred just before the launch of his 2022 album ‘Charlie’. Puth shared with ‘Rolling Stone’ that the intense hangover lasted for two days, leading him to realize the negative impact of his lifestyle choices.
He mentioned that the experience made him reflect on his past behaviors and the need for a change. Puth, who is set to release his upcoming album ‘Whatever’s Clever’ in March, revealed that a track titled ‘I Used to Be Cringe’ reflects his earlier years in the music industry when he felt he was being inauthentic. The 34-year-old singer expressed regret for trying to conform to a certain image to gain popularity.
Puth, who is expecting his first child with wife Brooke Sansone, emphasized the importance of self-discovery and authenticity in his journey as an artist. He acknowledged the impact of external influences on his younger self and highlighted the significance of personal growth and self-awareness in his career evolution.
