Chennaiyin FC has finalized the signing of Brazilian defender Eduardo Kau. The 27-year-old has inked a contract until the end of the season, becoming the latest addition to the Marina Machans’ squad. Known for his strong physical presence, Kau, a left-footed centre-back standing at 6’3”, adds depth to Chennaiyin’s defense.
Kau is recognized for his ability to carry the ball out from the back and execute line-breaking passes from defense. His versatility allows him to operate as a left-back when needed, enhancing Chennaiyin’s defensive options. Head coach Clifford Miranda praised Kau’s arrival, emphasizing his physicality and technical skills as valuable assets to the team.

Eduardo Kau, originally from Brasilia, began his professional career with Avaí in Brazil before moving to the Portuguese top division with B-SAD. His experience spans various countries like Moldova, Indonesia, Malta, and Thailand, providing him with diverse football exposure. Chennaiyin FC’s signing of Kau continues the club’s tradition of incorporating Brazilian players, adding a mix of skill and character to the team.
Joining recent signings Imran Khan and Alberto Noguera, Eduardo Kau will integrate with his new teammates shortly to commence training for the upcoming season with the Marina Machans.
