Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar engaged with Booth Level Officers and supervisors at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre in Rajasthan. He reiterated the Election Commission’s dedication to fortifying democratic institutions and enhancing electoral processes for improved efficiency and reliability.
During the interaction, CEC Kumar highlighted the significance of transparency in India’s electoral system, stressing that the country’s democracy stands out globally for its transparency and effectiveness. He underscored that the credibility of India’s electoral framework is rooted in openness and continuous scrutiny at every phase of the election cycle.
CEC Kumar also pointed out that India’s electoral processes undergo thorough examination, not limited to voter list preparation but encompassing all aspects from electoral rolls to polling and counting. He emphasized that transparency is a fundamental element integrated into every stage of the electoral process.
Moreover, CEC Kumar commended the work of grassroots election officials in enhancing the electoral process through the Special Intensive Revision. He encouraged them to persist in their efforts and addressed their queries, concluding his address with patriotic salutations “Jai Bharat, Jai Hind.”
The event forms part of the Election Commission’s ongoing endeavors to strengthen electoral management and improve voter services at the grassroots level.
