Congratulatory messages flooded in from National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders, especially the BJP and JD(U), for Samrat Choudhary after he was sworn in as the new Bihar Chief Minister following Nitish Kumar’s election to the Rajya Sabha. The leaders expressed optimism that Choudhary would continue the developmental legacy set by former CM Nitish Kumar. Alongside Choudhary, senior JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Vijendra Prasad Yadav took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers under the alliance agreement.

Speaking to the press post-ceremony, newly appointed Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Chaudhary outlined the government’s objectives, emphasizing a focus on development, good governance, and inclusive growth, aligning with Nitish Kumar’s established path. He stressed the government’s commitment to carrying forward the initiatives initiated by the former Chief Minister.

Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi praised CM Samrat Choudhary’s capabilities, citing his experience and past contributions to projects like the Patna Metro. Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar lauded Choudhary’s organizational and governance skills, foreseeing a rule of law and dedicated implementation of government schemes under his leadership. The government aims to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision in Bihar.
