Hollywood actor David Harbour, known for his role in ‘Stranger Things,’ expressed his desire for a more extensive storyline in the series finale. Playing Chief Jim Hopper, the 51-year-old actor felt his character’s conclusion was fitting alongside Winona Ryder’s Joyce Byers. However, Harbour envisioned additional scenes with characters like Eleven and Mike Wheeler. Despite his creative ideas, he acknowledged the necessity for stories to conclude as intended.
During a ‘Stranger Things 5’ event at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Harbour, along with castmates, discussed the final season. Producer Shawn Levy and creators Matt and Ross Duffer were also present. The Duffer Brothers found the show’s last shot, featuring the kids reuniting for a game of Dungeons and Dragons, particularly poignant. Matt Duffer described it as the most emotional scene to write and film, resonating deeply with the cast.
