Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his reaction to a city court dismissing two Enforcement Directorate (ED) pleas related to his non-appearance in a liquor scam case. Kejriwal’s use of “Satyamev Jayate” on social media was seen as an attempt to mislead, implying he was cleared in the main case, which was not the case.
Sachdeva highlighted that “Satyamev Jayate” symbolizes honor, and Kejriwal’s social media post was misleading. He emphasized that Kejriwal, the main accused in the liquor scam, cannot claim innocence based on the dismissal of ED summons. The BJP President stated that Kejriwal will be found guilty in the ongoing trial and face consequences.
Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor also criticized Kejriwal for his post, calling it a lie. Kapoor clarified that Kejriwal has not been acquitted in the ED’s economic fraud case, and the trial will proceed. He explained that the court found the complaints against the ED summons not maintainable, as per legal procedures after arrest and bail.
