Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel encouraged his team to maintain composure following a heartbreaking one-run defeat to the Gujarat Titans. In a post-match video at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Axar emphasized the importance of staying calm and positive despite the loss. He reminded his teammates of the long tournament ahead and urged them to keep smiling and look ahead to the next game in Chennai.

The Titans secured their first win of the season in a thrilling match that saw Delhi Capitals fall just short of the target, ending at 209/8 while chasing 211. The game took a dramatic turn in the final over, with David Miller’s decision not to take a single off the penultimate delivery proving costly for Delhi.

In a tense finish, with two runs needed off the final ball, Prasidh Krishna’s slower bouncer caught Kuldeep Yadav short of his crease, leading to a run-out that sealed Delhi’s fate. Despite Miller’s late heroics with the bat, Delhi’s chase fell agonizingly short, resulting in their first loss of the season and a breakthrough victory for Gujarat after two previous defeats.
