Delhi Law and Justice Minister Kapil Mishra has pointed out to AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal that the recent relief granted by a trial court in the liquor policy case is not final, as the matter is now with the Delhi High Court. Mishra emphasized that allegations of corruption related to the liquor policy still stand, despite Kejriwal’s claims of innocence and emotional responses in public.
Mishra criticized Kejriwal for not acknowledging any wrongdoing despite serious remarks from both the High Court and the Supreme Court on the matter. He questioned Kejriwal’s sincerity, especially in light of the recent court order, accusing him of attempting to deceive the public with false claims of honesty and integrity.
The Delhi Minister highlighted the scrapped liquor policy, questioning its sudden withdrawal when complaints were lodged against it. Mishra also raised concerns about the alleged destruction of hundreds of mobile phones by Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia when investigations began, questioning the need for such actions if no misconduct had occurred.
Mishra further challenged Kejriwal’s governance record, pointing out issues such as the promotion of schemes like free liquor offers and the negative impact of the liquor policy on Delhi’s society. He criticized the state of Delhi’s infrastructure and public services under Kejriwal’s leadership, attributing them to what he described as a legacy of corruption and mismanagement.
