Raj Babbar shared a funny incident from the shoot of ‘Hum Paanch’ on “The Kapil Sharma Show.” He revealed how the non-dancers in the film, including himself and Naseeruddin Shah, avoided dancing. Only Mithun Chakraborty could dance, leading them to devise a plan to escape dancing under the strict dance master Kamal master.

“So, this syndicate decided that we’ll do something. We will make him (Kamal Master) abuse us, and when he abuses us in front of so many people, we’ll get angry and will refuse to dance,” Babbar shared. The plan worked as Mithun Chakraborty agreed to dance while the others did not, causing a commotion on set.

As the actors walked away, producer Boney Kapoor intervened to resolve the situation. Despite the initial tension, they all eventually became good friends and reached an understanding. Raj Babbar humorously mentioned how they focused on hand movements so intensely that their hands seemed better than Mithun’s.

“Hum Paanch,” produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Bapu, featured a star-studded cast including Sanjeev Kumar, Shabana Azmi, Deepti Naval, and more. The film, a remake of a Kannada drama, was a huge success upon its release in 1980.
