In a swift response, the staff of Delhi’s Karawal Nagar Police Station caught a group of five female snatchers involved in a chain-snatching incident. The incident occurred when a woman was approached by an unknown woman at a market, who then snatched her gold chain. Alert members of the public chased and caught the snatchers, recovering the stolen chain.
Following a complaint, an FIR was registered against the accused women under specific sections of the law. The police arrested all five suspects and are investigating their involvement in similar crimes. The oldest suspect is 42-year-old V. Suman, with the youngest being 28-year-old Roshni Devi, both residents of Delhi.
Investigators noted that one of the suspects had a prior record of involvement in a case of hurt, while the others had no previous criminal history. The police are continuing their investigation into the case and are exploring potential connections to other theft incidents.
In a separate case, Delhi Police apprehended a notorious snatcher and recovered five stolen mobile phones and a stolen Honda Activa scooty from him. The arrest was made by the Nand Nagri Police Station team in the national capital.
