The Delhi Police apprehended two snatchers from East Mehram Nagar and seized two mobile phones, one snatched and one stolen, along with a scooty used in the crime. The arrests were carried out by the PP Subroto Park staff under Police Station Delhi Cantt in the South-West District. The accused, identified as Rinku Khan alias Kotal (24) and Ajay alias Banty (24), both residents of East Mehram Nagar, Delhi, were involved in a mobile phone snatching incident near Dhaula Kuan Metro Station.

A swift operation by the South-West District Police led to the apprehension of the accused. The incident was reported following a PCR call at PS Delhi Cantt on February 9, around 10:45 p.m., concerning the snatching of a mobile phone from Tarooshra Singh (20), a Lucknow resident. Singh, an engineering student on leave, was robbed of his phone by two individuals on a scooty while waiting for a bus at Dhaula Kuan Metro Station.

Following the victim’s complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections at PS Delhi Cantt, leading to the arrest of Rinku Khan and the recovery of the snatched phone and the scooty. Subsequent investigation and CCTV footage analysis identified the second accused, Ajay alias Banty, who was also arrested in connection with the case. Both accused have a history of involvement in multiple theft and robbery cases.

The recoveries from the snatchers included a snatched mobile phone, a stolen mobile phone, and the scooty used in the crime. Two cases have been resolved so far, with further investigations ongoing into the matter.
