A Delhi Police constable, accused of shooting his wife in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area during a domestic dispute, has been found dead in an apparent suicide. The incident occurred behind the Crowne Plaza, where the constable, identified as Manish Bhati, was discovered in a pool of blood with his service revolver beside him. Authorities confirmed that he took his own life using his service weapon.
Manish Bhati, who served in the Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of the East district, was reported missing after the shooting. The police responded to a call about a man found injured in a park, leading to the discovery of the deceased constable. Preliminary investigations revealed a history of marital discord between the constable and his wife, culminating in the tragic incident.
