Diljit himself reshared the pictures on his Instagram stories with a starry-eyed emoji, reflecting on his journey.
The upcoming movie “Border 2,” where Diljit was last seen, delves into the 1971 war and real-life events. Presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Dutta’s acclaimed film “Border” from 1997 featured a stellar cast and remains a blockbuster hit.
In his next project, “Panjab ’95,” directed by Honey Trehan, Diljit will portray activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who uncovered shocking truths about the abduction and murder of thousands of Sikhs during the Punjab insurgency from 1984 to 1995. Diljit’s versatile career spans music and film, with his works ranking high on various charts and his movies setting records in Punjabi cinema. Starting in 2002, he made a mark in Punjabi music before transitioning to acting, eventually making a successful Bollywood debut in 2016 with “Udta Punjab.”
