The District Election Officer of Nagarkurnool district in Telangana has confirmed that there is no instance of double voting or dual voter enrolment related to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The clarification was issued in response to false social media claims about the Chief Minister’s voter registration status. As of July 14, 2026, Revanth Reddy is not registered as a voter in Achampet Assembly Constituency or any other location in Nagarkurnool district.
The DEO emphasized that misinformation circulating on social media regarding the Chief Minister’s voter status in Nagarkurnool district is unfounded. Due to the absence of voter enrolment, the DEO clarified that there is no question of Enumeration Form printing and distribution during the Special Intensive Revision process. Citizens were urged not to propagate baseless rumors and misinformation.
Reports had surfaced alleging that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was enlisted as a voter in two Assembly constituencies, each falling under a different Parliamentary constituency. The electoral rolls purportedly showed Revanth Reddy as a voter in both the Kodangal Assembly constituency under the Mahabubnagar Parliamentary constituency and the Achampet Assembly constituency under the Nagarkurnool Parliamentary constituency, with both entries sharing the same EPIC number.
‘FactCheck_Telangana’, the official handle of the state government’s initiative on X, issued a clarification following these reports. The Election Commission explained that the presence of the Chief Minister’s name in two electoral rolls with the same EPIC number was an electoral roll anomaly being addressed through the ongoing SIR exercise. The correction process will be conducted by the DEO in line with the Election Commission of India’s procedures, clarifying that the same EPIC number in two rolls does not automatically grant voting rights in two constituencies.
