The Australian Open singles draw revealed that Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner are in the same half. Djokovic starts against Pedro Martinez, while Sinner faces Hugo Gaston in the opening round. Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev are also in the same half, with Alcaraz playing against Adam Walton.

Djokovic, a 10-time champion, and Sinner, a two-time defending titlist, could potentially meet in the semifinals. Djokovic, aiming for his 25th major crown, seeks to surpass Margaret Court’s record. Sinner, seeded second, aims for a three-peat at Melbourne Park.

Eye-catching matchups include Alex de Minaur against Matteo Berrettini and Zverev against Gabriel Diallo in the first round. Meanwhile, Thanasi Kokkinakis withdrew from the men’s singles due to a shoulder injury before the draw ceremony. Kokkinakis had recently won a match at the Adelaide International despite his injury.
