Eight individuals lost their lives, and 15 others sustained injuries in a series of three separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh. In Palnadu district, four people were killed and nine were injured when a Multi-Utility Vehicle collided with a stationary lorry early Friday. The tragic incident took place near Macherla Nagaravanam as the vehicle struck the parked lorry, resulting in four immediate fatalities and nine injuries.
Rescue operations faced challenges in extracting the bodies from the wreckage of the vehicle. Thirteen individuals, including the driver, were onboard the MUV, all from the same family in Hyderabad en route to Pamuru for a relative’s funeral. The deceased have been identified as Kadiri Venkateshwarlu, Kadiri Sharada, Pidugu Sharada, and Satyanarayana.
In a separate accident in Annamayya district, three individuals lost their lives, and six were injured following a collision between a car and an auto-rickshaw. The victims, from the same family, were returning home after attending a local festival. The deceased were named as Mubarak, Mehreen Bi, and Wahid. The injured parties received treatment at a government hospital.
Furthermore, in Anantapur district, a lorry driver tragically perished in an accident late Thursday night. The incident occurred near Budagavi in Uravakonda Mandal when a granite lorry, losing control, collided with a tree and overturned, subsequently catching fire. The driver was unable to escape the flames, resulting in his demise, while the cleaner managed to survive.
In a separate incident in Hyderabad, two individuals lost their lives in a collision between a motorbike and a scooty on the AMB Flyover in the Kondapur area. The fatalities were Srikanth and Vithal, who were on the scooty, while the motorbike rider sustained minor injuries.
