A wave of enthusiasm swept through Puducherry as Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited on Sunday. During his trip, he launched and laid the foundation for development projects totaling Rs 2,700 crore, marking a significant infrastructure push for the Union Territory. Attendees expressed optimism about the region’s growth trajectory and lauded the Prime Minister’s initiatives.
Many attendees highlighted the significance of PM Modi’s visit, emphasizing the inauguration of projects worth thousands of crores, including the NIT in Karaikal. They expressed confidence that the people of Puducherry would support development initiatives in the upcoming Assembly elections and stand with the NDA.
Participants also noted the Prime Minister’s focus on farmers, citing his allocation of Rs 1.62 lakh crore for farmers in the recent budget. They praised PM Modi as a true guardian of farmers and commended his efforts in this regard.
During the visit, PM Modi’s inspirational presence was acknowledged, with attendees expressing gratitude for his clear and visionary ideas about the future of India. The visit was seen as a significant milestone for Puducherry, with one participant noting that PM Modi had achieved what previous governments had not in just five years.
Support for PM Modi’s work was echoed by religious leader Mannargudi Ramarajar Jiyer, who praised the Prime Minister’s efforts for the benefit of a Hindu Rashtra and the nation’s health and well-being. Music director Gangai Amaran also lauded the development schemes announced during the visit, emphasizing the plans to enhance various aspects from spirituality to tourism in Puducherry.
In his address to the gathering, PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to bolstering urban and rural infrastructure in the Union Territory and improving the quality of life for its residents. The visit is viewed as a significant boost to Puducherry’s development agenda ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
