The ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ is set to establish India as a key global hub for shaping responsible and inclusive Artificial Intelligence (AI), experts revealed. Scheduled in the national capital from February 16-20, the Summit revolves around the principles of People, Planet, and Progress, with specialized working groups. These groups are anticipated to impact AI policy, skill development strategies, and implementation not only in India but also in the Global South, as per the IT Ministry.
Moreover, the event will offer opportunities for various segments including youth, startups, women innovators, and learners from Tier-2 and 3 cities. It will feature AI and Data Labs, global challenges, pitch fests, and the ‘YUVAI Global Youth Challenge’.
The ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026’ at Bharat Mandapam during the same period will showcase how AI solutions are revolutionizing sectors like education, healthcare, agriculture, and governance, the ministry disclosed.
Citizens raised concerns on AI infrastructure, open data access, healthcare datasets, startup involvement, governance, inclusion of non-tech users, and online engagement. Experts reassured that IndiaAI is committed to creating open, secure, and inclusive platforms for broad participation.
In a recent meeting with Indian AI startups, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of leveraging AI for societal welfare. He encouraged startups to make AI accessible, inclusive, and transparent, acknowledging their contributions across various domains from e-commerce to healthcare research.
