Madhya Pradesh Police in Ujjain have filed a case against two unidentified individuals for setting off an explosion at a temple event, causing panic among attendees. The incident, which occurred during the Krishna Sudama Rangotsav celebrations, resulted in burns to multiple people and a brief stampede in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Fortunately, the Chief Minister had moved away from the area before the blast.
Ten individuals sustained injuries, including burns, with seven receiving treatment at a local hospital and three being transferred to facilities in Indore for more severe injuries. Following the event, local authorities visited the injured at the hospital to assess their condition and provide assistance. The police have initiated an investigation, reviewing video footage to identify the person responsible for igniting the firecracker and are actively searching for the suspect.
The incident has raised concerns about safety protocols and crowd control at public events involving fireworks, particularly near high-profile gatherings. Despite the mishap, the Shri Krishna Sudama Rangotsav continued with community unity and cultural enthusiasm, emphasizing the bonds of friendship and devotion celebrated during the festival.
