Four family members, including two sisters and two young children, tragically lost their lives in a road accident on the Durg-Raipur National Highway-53 in Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred when their scooter collided with a stationary tractor loaded with oxygen cylinders. The deceased were identified as Amrita Nirmalkar (28), her sister Lakshmi Nirmalkar (26), and Amrita’s daughters Yachna (7) and Dali (4).
Amrita’s eight-year-old son Bhavesh sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at AIIMS Raipur. The accident, which took place under the jurisdiction of the Kumhari police station, resulted in the immediate deaths of the two women and two girls. Amrita’s husband, Lokesh Nirmalkar, expressed the profound loss, mentioning that his wife, daughter, son, and sister-in-law were all on the scooter during the tragic crash.
While Amrita and Yachna tragically passed away at the scene, Bhavesh remains in the ICU at AIIMS Raipur. The authorities have taken the tractor into custody and detained its driver, Bhola Yadav, for further investigation. The bodies have been transferred to the Supela mortuary for post-mortem examinations. Authorities are looking into whether the parked tractor had proper indications or if other factors contributed to this heartbreaking incident.
