Actor Vivaan Shah celebrated Farah Khan’s 61st birthday by sharing a nostalgic moment from their 2014 film “Happy New Year.” In an Instagram post, Vivaan referred to Farah Khan as his “Bob Fosse” and “Moliere,” praising her as a visionary and a kind-hearted individual. The post included a picture from the film featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, and Vivaan.
“Happy New Year” is an action comedy film that also stars Deepika Padukone and Jackie Shroff. Initially planned in 2005, the film was delayed for unknown reasons, leading Farah Khan to work on other projects like “Om Shanti Om” and “Tees Maar Khan.” The storyline revolves around Charlie forming a team of non-dancers for a dance competition in Dubai with a hidden agenda of a diamond heist.
Vivaan Shah, the son of Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak, made his film debut in 2011 with “Saat Khoon Maaf.” He later signed a three-film contract with director Vishal Bhardwaj and was recently part of “Ikkis” directed by Sriram Raghavan. The movie, also featuring Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia, is based on the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra award, focusing on the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India–Pakistan War.
