A tragic incident in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district resulted in a person being charred to death and two others injured following a collision between two truck containers on National Highway 216 near Kathipudi. The collision occurred early in the morning when a container carrying aqua feed was hit by another container loaded with cotton bundles en route from Kolkata to Chennai. The impact led to a fire that engulfed both vehicles.
The driver of the cotton-laden container, Kamal Sheikh, aged 43, lost his life in the blaze, while two individuals sustained injuries. Promptly alerted, police and firefighting teams arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, with the Circle Inspector of Prathipadu, Surya Appa Rao, confirming the deceased hailed from Kolkata.
In a separate accident within the same district, a girl lost her life, and eight others were injured when a truck collided with an auto-rickshaw at Rayudupalem near Kakinada town. The injured individuals were promptly taken to the Government General Hospital in Kakinada for medical attention. Additionally, in Nalgonda, Telangana, a bus from the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) veered out of control and collided with a divider near Yerrasanigudem in Kattanguru mandal, fortunately resulting in no injuries.
Another incident on the outskirts of Hyderabad saw a car catching fire suddenly, with no casualties reported. The car, driven by Ashwin, stalled near Narsingi Rotary in Rangareddy district, following which flames were noticed, prompting a swift exit from the vehicle. Despite efforts to contain the fire, the car was ultimately destroyed.
