The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration sealed a shop in Pune owned by Praveen Goyal, the father of Siya Goyal, who is accused of murdering her fiancée Ketan Agarwal. The shop, which sells spices and dry fruits, faced this action after an inspection.
Praveen Goyal explained that officials from the FDA visited the shop on July 14 and collected samples of various products, including turmeric powder and sesame. He mentioned that the only issue raised was a licensing discrepancy due to a recent shift in shop location.
Goyal stated that the licensing correction process is underway and expected to be resolved within 8–10 days. Until then, the shop remains closed as per the FDA’s instructions. Apart from this matter, there are no other issues reported.
Ketan Agarwal was allegedly murdered by Siya Goyal and her supposed lover Chetan Chaudhary at Lohagad fort near Pune. Ketan’s mother, Rakhi Agarwal, has reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging for swift justice in her son’s case. She emphasized the need for attention to ensure timely justice without delays.
