The flood situation in Assam has shown signs of improvement, with only Dhemaji district still affected, as per the latest report from the Assam State Disaster Management Authority. In Dhemaji, 3,917 people in 15 villages are facing the impact of the flood, with relief camps accommodating 165 individuals, including women, children, and pregnant/lactating mothers.

A senior official mentioned that around 70 hectares of crop area are submerged, affecting 14,014 animals, while 91 houses have been damaged by floodwaters. Fortunately, there have been no casualties reported, and no rescue operations were necessary, indicating a positive trend in the flood scenario.

No rivers in Assam are currently flowing above danger levels, except for a breached road in Lakhimpur district. Authorities are evaluating crop losses due to siltation in Dhemaji district and preparing detailed reports for assessment and monitoring.
