Nisith Pramanik, former Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of orchestrating the recent incident in Malda to create fear among the state’s residents. Pramanik, a BJP candidate, claimed that the Trinamool Congress government is harboring Bangladeshi infiltrators to maintain its political dominance, leading voters to seek a change in leadership.
Referring to the Malda incident where judicial officers were attacked by a mob, Pramanik alleged that Mamata Banerjee hinted at such events happening and suggested a particular community’s involvement. He criticized the state government for not providing land for border fencing along the India-Bangladesh border, raising concerns about infiltration and fake voters.
Expressing confidence in an electoral shift, Pramanik highlighted the public’s desire for a progressive government and criticized the current administration for issues like national security threats, lack of job opportunities, and industrial infrastructure. He also pointed out the challenges faced by educated youth in finding suitable employment opportunities.
