Acknowledging the contributions of revered figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel, Patel emphasized the importance of reflecting on Gujarat’s identity and culture. He praised the state for its commitment to service, security, and good governance, attributing its success to the collective efforts of its people. Patel positioned Gujarat as a key player in India’s economic advancement, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the state’s role as a growth engine.
Looking ahead, Patel outlined future priorities in green energy and semiconductors, signaling a shift towards industrial advancement. He called for united efforts in realizing the vision of a developed Gujarat contributing to a developed India. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also expressed his pride in Gujarat, hailing it as his birthplace, identity, and source of pride.
State-level celebrations in Surat will commemorate Gujarat’s formation in 1960, following the division of Bombay State based on linguistic considerations.
