The Vav-Tharad district in Gujarat is set to have a modern District Seva Sadan, as Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel initiated the groundbreaking ceremony in Tharad. The facility, covering 39 acres and costing around Rs 70 crore, aims to provide a centralized location for various government services. This initiative aligns with the state government’s focus on enhancing administrative infrastructure at district levels.
The upcoming District Seva Sadan will accommodate the District Collector’s office and over 30 district-level offices of state government departments. This consolidation is expected to streamline public service delivery, reducing the need for citizens to visit multiple offices for routine administrative tasks. District officials emphasized that this move will greatly benefit the predominantly rural population of the district.
Designed following green building norms, the complex will feature a solar rooftop system, rainwater harvesting infrastructure, a spacious meeting hall, modern lift systems, and basement parking. These eco-friendly elements aim to ensure sustainability and efficient resource utilization. Construction work on the District Seva Sadan will commence soon and will be closely monitored to ensure timely completion as per standards.
Deodar MLA Keshaji Chauhan highlighted the significance of this project in enhancing administrative facilities in the region. The ceremony was attended by various officials, including District In-charge Secretary Nagarajan, District Development Officer Kartik Jivani, and other dignitaries who were briefed on the technical aspects of the project by engineering experts.
