Bollywood and television veteran Harsh Chhaya expressed that younger generations are not obliged to acknowledge senior actors, regardless of their fame. He mentioned that each generation has its own set of stars, and it is not the duty of the youth to be familiar with veteran actors. Chhaya shared in an interview that he does not take it personally if the younger audience does not recognize him.
Reflecting on the unnecessary nature of the discussion, Chhaya recalled his own introduction to the entertainment industry. He emphasized that it is futile to expect recognition from younger individuals who may not have seen the work of senior actors from previous eras. Chhaya reminisced about the prominent stars of his time, including Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, and Rishi Kapoor.
Despite gaining recognition through the series ‘Undekhi,’ Chhaya stated that it is acceptable if some people remain unaware of his body of work. He highlighted that while ‘Undekhi’ has expanded his audience, it is not an obligation for everyone to be familiar with his previous projects. Chhaya concluded by mentioning his recent appearance in the fourth season of ‘Undekhi,’ where he reprised his role as Papaji, which has been well-received by viewers.
